Our Six Flags trip turned into a Dave & Buster’s trip thanks to the weather, but the students still performed well and had a great time!

UGHS Orchestra
Boosters!

The UGHS Orchestra Booster Club is a non-profit, dues-free organization that works to support the activities of the UGHS Orchestra. This includes fundraising, event planning, and publicity. Meetings will be scheduled within the next month and pushed out to parents regularly. Our next meeting will be May 5th, 2025 at 7:00 PM.

2026 Awards Picnic

Our annual Awards Picnic will be May 15th at the LARGE PAVILION at Salem Baptist Church. We will start at 5 PM, eat around 5:45-6, and do awards afterwards. TICKETS can be purchased by clicking the event in the May calendar below. Contact michael.wright@henry.k12.ga.us with any questions.

SPRING CONCERT!

Our final concert will be May 12th at the Fairview PAC (544 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge). Student call time is 6:30 PM. Please have your student there BEFORE that time.

We will be playing a lot of JAZZ tunes this concert. Come and enjoy some great string jazz!

MICHAEL WRIGHT

Orchestra Director

Michael Wright begins his eleventh year in Henry County this year. He is a conductor and violinist with experience teaching students of all ages, both as a private teacher and in the classroom. Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Christian University and a Master of Music from the University of Iowa. He lives with his wife, Becca, and three children, Patton (13), Naomi, (10), and Anderson (7).
