UGHS Orchestra
Boosters!
The UGHS Orchestra Booster Club is a non-profit, dues-free organization that works to support the activities of the UGHS Orchestra. This includes fundraising, event planning, and publicity. Meetings will be scheduled within the next month and pushed out to parents regularly. Our next meeting will be September 15th, 2026 at 7:00 PM at Macon Street Tacos.

After our first Booster meeting, the newsletter will be posted HERE for you to look at.
Opening Night!
Our first concert will be October 1st at the Fairview PAC (544 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge). Student call time is 6:30 PM. Please have your student there BEFORE that time.
This will be a high-variety concert as we work initial technique development in the high school orchestras.

As students develop their schedules for the year, please consider private lessons for your students. Private instruction can help students improve rapidly and explore music they won't have opportunity to look at in my class. Orchestra Director
Michael Wright begins his eleventh year in Henry County this year. He is a conductor and violinist with experience teaching students of all ages, both as a private teacher and in the classroom. Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Christian University and a Master of Music from the University of Iowa. He lives with his wife, Becca, and three children, Patton (13), Naomi, (10), and Anderson (7).
